The hunt for the inaugural HCPW Heavyweight Championship begins at The First Day. This 16-man tournament kicks off with a massive first-round clash at Norths Cammeray. Two of Australia’s biggest personalities collide in a battle that promises equal parts heavy hits and high-octane hijinks.
Chaos vs. Class
Billy Preston brings his signature brand of “Silly Superstar” energy to the ring. He is a master of getting under an opponent’s skin with unpredictable antics. However, don’t let the jokes distract you. Preston is a technical wizard who can transition from a prank to a pinfall in seconds. He intends to laugh his way straight to the championship final.
Opposite him stands “The Example” Ricky South. As a former PWA Heavyweight Champion, South is the gold standard of the scene. He is a powerhouse with a mean streak, but he isn’t immune to the absurd. While South recently earned a WWE Tryout invitation, he must first survive the mental games of the most eccentric man in the tournament.
What to Expect
This match pits South’s raw power against Preston’s chaotic technicality. Expect heavy chops to meet hilarious counters. South wants to cement his legacy as the most dominant force in Harbour City. Meanwhile, Preston wants to prove that a “silly” guy can still be the toughest man in the room.
