A PASSION PROJECT
What started as a website and Instagram account covering independent wrestling in Sydney and New South Wales quickly became something more intentional—a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the local wrestling scene.
By attending shows, engaging with fans and talent, and observing multiple promotions firsthand, one recurring issue became clear: it was difficult to keep track of events and understand the broader landscape of Australian independent wrestling. HCPW was first created as a simple solution—a central hub for information. But that was only the beginning.
Over time, HCPW evolved. Ideas were tested, concepts explored, and perspectives challenged. One question remained persistent in the background: What could HCPW become if it went further than observation?
A THESIS
Australian professional wrestling is entering a defining era. With major international promotions running premium events in the country, independent promotions reaching new highs, and homegrown talent gaining global visibility through social media, the industry is experiencing unprecedented momentum. However, growth requires strong foundations.
HCPW exists to examine the structure beneath the excitement—to assess sustainability, infrastructure, creative direction, and long-term development within the industry. It asks questions others may overlook:
Can this growth be sustained? What systems need reinforcing? Where can wrestlers and promotions improve to unlock untapped potential?
HCPW aims to reduce uncertainty and provide clarity—so wrestlers, promoters, and fans alike can move forward with confidence.
AN EXPERIMENT
Rather than presenting conclusions as theory alone, HCPW chooses action.
The project serves as a testing ground for new ideas—challenging mainstream approaches, experimenting with alternative creative directions, and addressing obstacles observed within the Sydney/NSW wrestling scene and beyond. Some challenges are structural, some cultural, and some philosophical. All are approached with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
HCPW is not about claiming absolute answers. It is about creating a different timeline—one where wrestlers are encouraged to try something new, where risks are measured, and where progress is evaluated honestly.
AN ALLIANCE
Wrestling schools and promotions are both creative spaces and businesses. Sustainability matters.
HCPW is committed to collaboration, not competition. We actively work with other promotions to avoid scheduling conflicts, respect existing storylines, and support shared talent pools. We welcome both established wrestlers and newly graduated talent, fostering opportunities across experience levels.
Through cooperation with promoters, trainers, and performers, HCPW seeks mutual growth and a stronger local wrestling ecosystem.
FOR THE WRESTLERS
At its core, HCPW is built for the wrestlers.
We are invested in career longevity—whether wrestling is a passion, a side pursuit, or a path to the highest level. HCPW prioritizes physical and mental well-being, fair and transparent compensation, and ongoing development.
We work alongside talent to shape sustainable career paths, offering creative and strategic guidance designed to elevate both performance and opportunity. While some wrestlers will help establish the foundation early, HCPW is designed to expand—creating pathways for many more local talents over time.
A VISION
HCPW is not just a platform—it is a living project, an evolving experiment, and a collaborative effort to help Australian professional wrestling grow on solid ground.
